For spring break, I visited my best friend Jane in New York!
We went to this pizza place called Waldy's
Then, we went to Koryodang

Then, we went to the Mandarin Oriental for massages! Don't we look like we are on a honeymoon or something?

The restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental had such a phenomenal view!

We went to Morimoto's restaurant. The presentation was so nice, that I had to take pictures before we ate . . .

I am gonna pretend to be an Iron Chef judge ...

The sashimi just tingled in my mouth

The flavors blended together with perfect harmony ...

This cuisine reigned supreme!

Then, we couldn't leave without taking a picture of the Iron Chef Japanese ... Masaharu Morimoto!
We took 2 pictures with him. For the first one, he said, "Say sushi!" Then, for the second one, he said, "Say sashimi!" (Jane claims he had bad breath when he said that, but I think it just might be all the raw fish he probably samples as he cooks.) He is my favorite Iron Chef, because whenever the challenger says something like, "I will for sure win this battle!" He always eats a slice of humble pie and responds, "I did my best!"

This was my 2nd time at Normas because I couldn't get enough of their cinnamon mango crepes.
But this time, I was more interested in Jane's ranchos huevos.

We went to Kittichai.

This is a picture of their appetizers.

We saw Wicked! It was wicked awesome! (Get it, get it?)

At one of the street vendors, they were selling big movie star sun glasses. Jane picked out a cute pair.
Anne "How much?"
Vendor "$15, but for you, $10"
Anne "How about $8?"
Vendor "Oh no, I wouldn't make a profit then!"
Anne "$8.50?"
Vendor "Sorry!"
Anne "Do you have a case for the sunglasses?"
Vendor "I ran out"
Anne "Then, how about $8.50 because there is no case?"
Vendor "I can't."
Anne "Okay, how about $9"
Vendor ... thinking
Anne "I came all the way from Chicago ..."
Vendor "All the way from Chicago? Okay! $9"

James, my cute little godson Connor, Jane, and me

"Choo choo, chuga chuga chuga chuga choo choo"

"Connor, what a good eater you are!"

Spending some quality time with C Dawg

Jane and Connor at a park after Shake Shack

Who wouldn't love that smile? Ya little lady killer!

Marc Jacobs is one of Jane's favorite stores. This is their "stinky rat" line.
Jane Street! Only Jane can get away with a big puffy jacket & Ugg boots and still look thin!

We took this picture at Laguardia Airport.

I had such an awesome time with Jane. She is seriously such an amazing mama and best friend.
We had such a great time eating and doing things in New York, but the best times we had were
the late nights when we flossed our teeth together, or when she would pump while I did my exercise
videos, and when we spent time together talking like we did at U of I ... I just Jane Lee!
@ Coffee Haus
Jane Yun picked me up from the airport, and I slept over her place. We watched House of Flying Daggers.
My dad borrowed this DVD from a friend, but when I was watching it, the subtitles were from a totally different movie.
So, without subtitles, I had no idea what was going on, but I kept on watching the movie because of . . .
Takeshi Kaneshiro!

Jane came over to my sister's place, and we took turns holding my 6 month old nephew Jacob.

This is my sister Joanne with her little bambino Jacob.

Jacob got baptized! Check out his cute little prepster outfit!

Here's the Kao family after church service (missing Sandy & Jeremiah) all together for Jacob's baptism!
